Renter Requirements

Grandson Rides – Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Agreement”) govern the rental of vehicles from Grandson Rides (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). By reserving or operating a vehicle through our service, you (“Renter,” “you”) agree to comply with all conditions outlined below.

 
1. Age & Eligibility Requirements
Minimum Age Requirement: Renters must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license at the time of rental.
Renters Under 25: Drivers between the ages of 18 and 24 may be subject to additional daily fees, surcharges, and/or insurance requirements. These fees vary depending on the vehicle type and coverage selected.
Compliance: All renters must provide valid identification, proof of insurance (if applicable), and agree to abide by local, state, and federal driving regulations.
 
2. Reservation Notice
All reservations must be made with a minimum of 3–7 days’ advance notice.
Reservations made with less than 3 days’ notice are subject to rush service fees and may have limited availability.
Grandson Rides cannot guarantee vehicle availability for last-minute requests.
 
3. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit ranging from $150 to $300 is required prior to vehicle delivery or pickup.
Deposit amounts depend on the vehicle class reserved.
Deposits will be refunded upon return of the vehicle, subject to deductions for damages, late returns, fuel discrepancies, toll violations, or any other applicable charges.
 
4. Rental Period & Fees
The rental period begins at the agreed time of delivery or pickup and ends at the agreed return time.
Daily rental rates vary by vehicle class and will be disclosed at the time of booking.
Renters are responsible for all applicable fees, including but not limited to:

Mileage charges (if applicable)
Insurance surcharges
Additional driver fees
Late return fees
Fuel replacement costs
 
5. Vehicle Use & Restrictions
Vehicles must only be operated by the renter(s) listed on the rental agreement.
Vehicles may not be used for:

Illegal activities
Racing or reckless driving
Off-road use (unless expressly authorized)
Subleasing to third parties
Smoking inside vehicles is strictly prohibited and will result in additional cleaning fees.
 
6. Insurance & Liability
Renters under 25 may be required to purchase additional insurance coverage.
The renter is responsible for any damage, theft, loss of use, or third-party claims occurring during the rental period unless otherwise covered by insurance.
Proof of insurance must be provided prior to the start of the rental (unless coverage is purchased through Grandson Rides).
 
7. Cancellations & Modifications
Reservations canceled more than 72 hours prior to the rental start date may be eligible for a partial refund.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the start date are subject to a cancellation fee equal to up to one full day’s rental rate.
Modifications (e.g., extending the rental period, changing vehicle type) are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
 
8. Delivery & Concierge Service
Grandson Rides offers vehicle concierge service, delivering vehicles directly to the renter’s location (home, office, or airport).
Delivery times must be scheduled in advance. Delays caused by renter unavailability may result in additional fees.
 
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York and the State of Georgia, where Grandson Rides operates.

 
10. Acknowledgment
By reserving a vehicle with Grandson Rides, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
